Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test commonly know as JKCET entrance exam is conducted Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) for admission in professional courses.It is Conducted for admission in undergraduate professional courses including MBBS, BDS, BE, Veterinary Sciences, Agriculture, Forestry, Food Technology, B-Tech of government and private institutes of J&K. The JKCET 2016 is conducted by JKBOPEE (Board of Professional Entrance Examination).

According to last years reports of Daily excelsior, 24000 students appeared in combined test of Physics and Chemistry.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for JKCET Medical and Engineering Exam 2016 must fulfill the following eligibility conditions,

  • Candidates must be permanent residents of J&K State as defined in Section 6 of the Constitution of J&K.
  • Candidates must have passed HSC (12th / 10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board/University with 50% marks in aggregate in case of open merit category, and 40% in aggregate for reserved categories.
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as elective subjects for admission to MBBS, BDS programme.

Paper Pattern

JKCET consists of three papers.

Paper A Physics and Chemistry
Paper B Mathematics
Paper C Biology

Students can appear in Paper A and Paper B for admission in Engineering stream, Paper A and Paper C for Medical stream.
